Your Questions About Green Products For The Home

Laura asks…

Do you think this is a good start to a story?

my friend wrote this, i think its amazing.
could i get your opinion on the writing?
by the way, my friend is only 14 (8th grader)

I feel trapped. A corpse in a flying coffin. The girl with the long chocolate curls leans in and whispers, “This is it.” Is it really? I think to myself. I need to get out of this contraption. So many things have gone wrong from the second I stepped a foot into the idea of running away. I can see the tracks of the tears that have fallen down her perfectly ivory skin. I feel hot tears coming down from my own eyes, staring at what was once a perfect dream, becoming a torn nightmare.
Some things in life are irreversible. I’ve learned this the hard way. Some times, when you make a a life changing choice, you can never go back. I’ve learned that they’re called “Life changing” choices, because your life will never be the same again.
Eventually, you’ll all come to realize that the lives you’re living are the wrong ones, built for someone else, someone more capable. When that time comes; as it will for most, what you wont know is that I’m here to tell you all of this before you find out for yourself; the hard way. My “dad” always used to tell me that theres three ways to do things, the right way, the wrong way, and your way. Everything that has happened to you in your life has happened the wrong way, even though it may not seem that way. As far as i’m concerned the “wrong way” of doing things sometimes can turn out to be right, and the “right way” of doing things can often end up being the wrong thing to do; and I know from far more experience then most give me credit for.
I used to be a normal kid, just like you. I had friends, and family, I was even student body President at Reese Waterman High School. I can’t say I had the best life, of the perfect family, but I didn’t have it bad; not until junior year. In November, my parents were sent away on a job that I wasn’t allowed to know anything about. At first, I was in the foster home, but I soon after that, I got sent to The Green’s house. It would be an understatement to say that the Green’s were abnormally cruel.
After about a month of living with the Greens, I took it upon myself to start a rescue mission, involving the three other kids I was living with at the time. Their parents had gone on a top secret mission as well, and we were all intent on figuring out this puzzle that had plagued us ever since each of our parents had left.
It all started on April 13th, a friday (I know, I know; Friday the thirteenth). Jesse, the fifteen year old pyromaniac, was the only one of us who didn’t get sent to the Green’s because of our parents mission. Matt, the oldest of us three; was the one who gave me the idea to persuade everyone to escape from the only place we had left to go. But it was Austin who convinced me to actually leave; however, the idea wasn’t as easy or well thought out as I may have thought.
The plan was seemingly simple. We were to tell the Green’s that we were going to go out and buy new cleaning products and a vacuum; because, ironically, ours had broken the last week, and simply not return to the Green’s house. What we didn’t expect were the trail of questions that followed.

Carol asks…

no rude answers please.?

kay this might sound awful. but i have a case of ocd. where everything in my room HAS to match. I really want rats( great thing for a girl with ocd ehh?.) My mom bought me this really nice cage for them.(link at the bottom). And she bought me some spray paint to cover the green tunnels and slides with pink paint. If its non toxic spray paint do you think it could harm the rats, even after sitting out for 2 months? I wouldnt want that at all…
please no mean answers i would just like to know, thankss.

Launch Review answers:

Well sometime even if it is non toxic, it might just hurt your rat in some way. I would just take the tunnels and slides out, because the rats can climb up anyway.

Also when you need to clean the cage, you need to brush the tubes etc, then the paint will come off and look ugly unless you spray them again.

Have fun!

Mary asks…

Is Our ‘economic crisis’ simply due to evolution in Technology?

Netflix’s Profits increase by 30%. I have read of how so many companies are firing employees due to a loss of revenue. However, recently I have been researching and found that many other companies are making profits and staying in business.
This ‘economic crisis’, I think, We are experiencing and being pressured into believing, is not so much a ‘crisis’ to me.
I believe that We as a People are Changing in how We are evolving.
Technology has Changed over the last 20 years dramatically. The lifestyles of how People are choosing to live, is the reason for this economic ‘Change-Over’.
Check this out, and see if what I’m saying can hold any water here.
When Internet first became available, the majority of households did not have a computer. It was ‘new’. Most new products are expensive. So, our extra curricular activites included doing things outside the home.
Going to the movies, the arcade, the local store to buy your favorite jeans, or sneakers…..
Well, now in present day, We can rent movies online, record on DVD, and each year a new video home sytem like Wii, XBox, or anything else, and your favorite pair of jeans, can come from the Internet without ever leaving the house……
People then incurred a gas price increase….. Now, who has the money to put in the car, and then pay for $20 or more in tickets for a couple, plus buy movie popcorn at almost $15.00 with a drink? Why, when there’s a more convient way to go?
Or when Amazon, EBay, or Overstock, has increased sales, while Our local stores are suffering from sales loss?
Or when We’re going “healthy’, and Subway gets profits from $5.00 subs, while other competitors are offering cheaper value meal items in order to gain back or keep thier money rolling in?
Or a ‘Go Green‘ attitude, now has the automobile industry being scrutinized, and making it harder to sell?
The times are Changing. I think thats what’s causing this ‘economic crisis’. We are Changing. Technology is Changing. The Internet is booming while companies that once found their business through Person to Person product consumption, to what We have now as a Technological Revolution.
This is an opinion, but I wonder if this could actually be the truest to heart reasoning for this World Wide spread of what seems to be an economic failure?
You would think if there’s consumer buying, then there should be no reason for the loss, right?
Think of this for example:
The movie theaters realy on the People to come view a movie indoors at their location. They sell ‘treats’ at the consession stand in order to make profits. They have to pay for the leae of the movie We watch, the property rental for the buliding and the People who take the tickets to cleaning the bathrooms. If many are staying home, and the theater does not get filled, then there’s what money being made? If peopl are eating more healthy, then what’s being bought at the consession stand? If movie makers are spending more to make a movie to compatete with other movie makers, then the theaters have to raise their price of tickets when they consider all these factors. Higher costs = alternative ways for consumers to view it. They stay home and wait for it come out on DVD and then rent it from companies like Netflix. The movie theater industry would inevitably suffer and decline in sales. Which means less people working, right?
I’ve had my own experience in the work at home field, and my profits had almost doubled from last year. This is why I think this Change is just simply part of Evolution….

Okay, i have redness on my chin, nose, and coming our from my nostrils, like on my upper lip . I want to get rid of it, but i CAN NOT buy other products or go out and buy anything else , so don’t suggest anything for me to buy . I use Mary Kay products, which are the toner, moisturizer, their lotion, and i also use their foundation which is meant for not clogging pores . Implement a proxy server and have all PC’s point the browser to it.
Turn on logging on said proxy server.

Also, use an access list to disable external internet from all client computer IP’s except for the proxy server.

Squid’s a good one but you have to have a bit of technological knowledge.
It should also increase the responsiveness of your internet browsing, since it is also a caching proxy.

Your Questions About Business Investing

Helen asks…

What are the downsides (dsadvantages) of investing in new technology, is a good business strategy?

Picture this scenario: As a future stategy for an airline company, they decide to invest in technology, say the installation of Tv units (or anything thing u can think about) in the back of every seats, or a joint venture with a more famous airline say Singapore airlines, where bothairlines could work with each other and develop new technologies, new machinery, better service? Would those new strategy make sense in the external competitive environment? (i.e. what customers require, what competitors are doing, trends in the business environment)

Launch Review answers:

I think so because I have spoken with many people who only fly on JetBlue airplanes for the exact reasons that you speak of; multimedia systems that keep them entertained over the course of long, boring flights. Sure, it costs an airline money to do this but when you consider the fact that some passengers will fly with your airline exclusively for the reason that you offer such systems, then it becomes a good investment. You really wouldn’t be developing this technology with an airline, such as Singapore, because there are many different components manufacturers and suppliers that can already provide your airline with such technology. In other words, there are other companies that you can buy this stuff from, off the shelf, for each of your passenger seats. None of that is new technology, and these are standard options from both Boeing, Airbus, various aircraft interior refurbishers, corporate aircraft manufacturers, etc.

How do I claim a loss for investing in a business that went bankrupt?

I loaned money to someone opening up a restaurant. They signed a promissary note to pay back with interest. They went bankrupt and I got nothing back. How do I claim the loss on my taxes. Thanks.

Launch Review answers:

You can only claim the capital loss against any capital gain, and the unclaimed amount can be carried forward into next year, and future years.

Jenny asks…

If Repubs take the House in Nov. will business feel confident enough to begin hiring and investing?

Business is sitting on two trillion in cash but is so afraid of what the Democrats will do on taxes and regulation they won’t invest. Will they feel confident enough if ‘pubs take the house Obama will be stopped or will they wait until Obama is gone in 2012?

Your Questions About Education City

Mary asks…

What level of education/professional qualifications do you need to work in New York City?

I want to move to new york, I have a bachelors in music but I no longer am interested in pursuing music… Thinking about going to grad school for another subject if it will help- any ideas?

Launch Review answers:

There’s basically every job imaginable in NYC – all of which have different qualifications. It’s absurdly expensive to live there though, so I wouldn’t really recommend just moving there without a better idea of what you’re going to do.

Chris asks…

Where can I find the department of education office in New york city?

Launch Review answers:

The NY Dept. Of Education is located at 89 Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12210.

Donald asks…

Given the state of inner city public education, shouldn’t “progressives” be called “regressives”?

Formerly called “liberals” or course. They have been running that system for quite a while.

Launch Review answers:

Damn right!

Daniel asks…

Who gets the best education kids on the country or kids in the city?

I mean in a America country kids.

Launch Review answers:

Rich kids. Or kids in rich school districts at least. The richer school districts tend to be in cities, think NY or LA where all the movie stars live. On the other hand the worst school districts, the ones where you worry about getting shot on your way to homeroom are also in the cities.

John asks…

What education policies in your opinion has made the inner city schools worse?

Launch Review answers:

State Standardized tests, multiple choice, and summer vacation.

State standardized tests because they force teachers to take time out of their educatory periods to teach kids how to jump through the state’s little hoops. What’s even worse is that even if you get a 60 percent, you are still Proficient. In the end, it’s a money-gobbling waste of time that can really hold a child true learning potential behind. (In my state, if you don’t pass the state regulated test, you don’t get a diploma). You could be valedictorian but if you can’t pass the test (Purely hypothetical, the test is a joke as it is.) you have your freedom from public school held back for another year.

Summer Vacation because this was instituted purely due to agricultural need. Farmers needed workers to plow, tend to, and have their farm produce. If there was little production, the country could head into famine and stagnation. Ever since SV has been in place, teachers have to take a whole month out of their schedule to have their child re-learn previously learned concepts. In college, school runs year round, and the students learn at an accelerated rate and retain their education in addition to keeping them set on a schedule.

Multiple Choice because quite frankly it can all come down to probabilty and luck. If a kid doesn’t know the material, but takes out 2 obviously incorrect answers, he can still get the questions right. In addition, a kid can cheat EASILY by simply glancing at another classmates answers for a single letter. To me, that is not testing one’s learned material. Extended response and short answer for me have truly tested my knowledge on a subject and have taken away the avenue to simply cheat off another testtakers test.

In the end, I get the grade I’m meant to get (alongside others, which has benefitted me greatly in terms of academic recognition) and others as well. This system that obviously allows struggling students to leech off of other students’ work, and teaches them nothing but to cheat to succeed.(This is definitely a problem that needs addressing) in my opinion.

Your Questions About Green Products For The Home

Donald asks…

Windows XP keys – how do they work, what will install, and how can I do it 100% legally?

I have a computer that had XP Home SP2 installed, and saved the product key from the registry (using Magical Jelly Bean Key Finder) before formatting the HDD.

For some reason, the green holographic sticker on the side of the PC has a different key. The sticker says merely “Windows XP Home Edition”. The computer was bought online with XP already installed, so I assume it had an OEM version of XP. However, as the computer is not mine, I do not know if SP2 was installed over an earlier version of XP Home, or if SP2 *is* the version that was installed when they purchased it.

What I want to do is take a retail version of XP Home SP3 (or XP Pro SP3, if possible!), and use one of their product keys to install it, since I know they purchased them legally.

The only problem is it keeps saying “invalid key”, so I had to install without a key, leaving it with 30 days to use one that works.

So, my questions are these:

When you install a newer Service Pack, does it change the key in the registry?

Can I somehow use either the key on the sticker, or the (SP2) key taken from the machine, to install SP3?

Is it possible to install XP Home SP3 without a key, and somehow put an XP Home SP2 key into the registry, making the machine think I upgraded from SP2 to SP3, with everything functioning normally like Windows Update, etc?

Or is there some way to use a legal purchased SP2 key to get a legal SP3 key?

There must be some way to do this, when the original keys are purchased legally, since the Service Packs are free upgrades.

I would love to be able to take the latest retail version of XP Home SP3, and use them to legally do a complete system format/install on PCs with any version of XP Home. Same goes for XP Pro.

Expert advice, links to in-depth and/or technical guides, quality forums, official Microsoft articles, etc, would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you!

Launch Review answers:

Service packs do not change the Setup key but different hardware does. Some OEMs apply a volume install and paste a different sticker on the system.

So you should be able to use the key Magic Jelly Bean found on the identical hardware.

Help! I cant get grass/mud stains out of my horses white leg!?

Well hes not really my horse, hes my friends horse. But I show him, so that means I help give him a bath.

Anwyay, hes a beautiful paint. Only thing is, he has these green grass or mud stains on his knees and they wont come out! Weve been working on them for MONTHS and nothing has gotten them out.

We’ve tried Quic Silver, Cowboy magic yellowout shine in, and oster. Weve mixed those, left them on for ten minutes, and nothing has worked. My friend who owns the horse in currently in texas and will be back tomorrow or the day after and I wanted to try to see if I could get the stain out as a welcome home present to her. c:

So any suggestions on products or solutions? Anything would be helpful. Theyre on his front legs, right on his knees. Thanks in advance!

I find this product very effective at getting out stable or grass stains out of my grey pony even though its meant as a fly spray. It smells quite strongly of alchol. Apply the spray liberaly and then rub with cloth. I’ve yet to see it fail.

If removing the stain is impossible then you could try one of the many white chalk or creams on the market for showing. My friend uses cream when showing on the white sock of her bay horse and it looks great not at all fake.

Quick Pimple Treatment?

I have some bad acne right now all over my face, but mostly around my forhead. I’m going to a dance tomorrow, and I need to get rid of the acne! I have read about toothpaste, green tea, warm salt water, and honey that can help with acne. But I don’t know how well any of these methods work. Does anyone have any feedback on these methods of making acne less red and bumpy or noticeable? Or do you have any other suggestions? I don’t want names of different products to go buy, but more of a list of home remedies or items I can use that I would probably already have at home. Thanks for your help <3 ;)

Launch Review answers:

I had really bad acne and NOTHING seemed to get rid of it! Go to a dermatologist and they will prescribe an acne treatment that’s made especially for your skin type. That’s about the only thing that got rid of mine. That’s just for future reference. But since you want a quick treatment , a face mask of sour cream and strawberries should help and is meant for all skin types. Remember the foundation of beauty is health! Avoid refined sugars (especially chocolate! That could definitely cause bad acne). Go exercise, get fresh air, eat vegetables, drink tons of water. Also, when you do your makeup use BareEssentual’s loose powder concealer, it will cover up acne while preventing future break outs :)

Mary asks…

please tell me ur opinion…..only if u want to read this..(essay)?

i had to do a essay on global warming and me. and how i should reduce global warming and please tell me what u think. only reply if u read the essay and dont go like “wow, thats long” “im not reading it”. i put alot of effort in this! please?

Global Warming and Me

Global warming is the process where the earth heats up. Climate change refers to how the climate of the world is changing. It is not the same as global warming instead global warming is the cause and climate change is the result. Human beings are one of the main causes of global warming. We tend to use many fuels, coal and waste recyclable materials. All the recyclable materials thrown away are being burnt away while all the gases goes up the air and pollute the atmosphere and help global warming. Not only has this tended to happen, remember that recyclable materials like paper and plastics are mainly from trees. Trees are cut down and deforestation occurs and plants help absorb carbon dioxide which is one of the main greenhouse gas that cause global warming. Since I am a human, I should try to make changes to my lifestyle to reduce global warming. This consists of recycling, influence, driving less, home energy efficiency, plant a tree, and buy energy friendly products.

I am individual that has always believed in recycling. I am known for being “green” and encouraging people to not waste paper especially people in my family and my closest friends. RECYCLING can make a huge impact on the environment like less trees will be cut down and there will be less burning of garbage which releases the gas up in the atmosphere. As an individual, I should encourage my family to use plastic plates instead of disposables so that the plates can be used again and less disposable will be thrown away. Second, I should CUT DOWN ON THE FAMILY CAR. I should stop making many trips to the shops if I forget about materials and instead I should just write down all materials that will be needed and buy it all at once. It will be not bad to ride a bike, or walk to the grocery stores or visit my friends, instead of asking one of my siblings to give me a ride, when the location is about 5-10 minutes apart. I have made this decision that instead of borrowing the car to go to college, I should either carpool or use the public transport, which will save more money on gas and reduce fuel emission in the environment.

The HOME ENERGY EFFIECIENCY is when instead of replacing an electrical appliance, I should encourage my parents to buy energy efficient ones. In the household, I can only encourage and since I do not have money, this can make a difference. Another example is encouraging them to change the bulb to compact fluorescent bulbs, which saves energy and is cheaper. It last longer too. In the household, I should try switching the OFF switch whenever I leave a room or not using an appliance. This solution is my favorite: PLANT A TREE. Since deforestation is occurring, I can make a difference by just planting a tree in my backyard. Trees take in carbon dioxide from the air and limit the air pollution and global warming. not only that, it provides shade and beautiful landscaping in the yard.

There are many practices that I can encourage and do in my lifestyle. and I encourage my family to BUY ENERGY FRIENDLY PRODUCTS. Like take-out food containers, this can be washed and reused. Keep several trays of ice in the freezer so more full the freezer is the less air it has to cool every time I open and shut the door. Every time my family is going to buy appliances throughout the internet or in stores, I should try to check if the appliance is “energy friendly.” Overall, it all requires one main thing INFLUENCE. I can influence my family to do better with appliances and choices that they are going to make that can harm or benefit the environment. I can influence my friends more to recycle, I can influence the neighbors and little kids so that they can look up to me and want to try to help the environment too. I can encourage them to use their OFF switch more frequently, and plant a tree or even recycle. It will really help the environment.

If only everyone knew how global warming could really affect the environment, we can all make a difference. It can begin with recycling. Recycling will help save trees and reduce air pollution. Nothing is wrong with a little exercise like walking or riding a bicycle. Why not use walking and running as a daily exercise instead of using a car just to buy from a shop, which is ten minutes far? Reducing the amount of times of using a vehicle can reduce fuel emission and help the environment. Another is buy energy-friendly technology, which helps conserve energy and helps greatly the environment like compact fluorescent bulbs. Nothing is easier and more relaxing than planting a seeding. A seedling sprouts to a tree. It is not bad that planting a tree in your backyard can help absorb carbon dioxide from the environment. It also provides shade and beautiful landscape. Now that there are many options that one can do to reduce global warming , let not forget to influence the people, our neighbors, our family or little kids to help save our earth since we are the ones who are causing this global warming and it is up to us to reduce this and make a difference!

Hear me out before you give it a thumbs down.

Alright all I did was look at it and didn’t want to read it. The biggest reason for this is when I was browsing it over I noticed in your secon paragraph you have two ideas presented. I suggest you invent a new paragraph there for the new idea you are presenting.

Two totally different ideas in one paragraph is my pet peeve.

Richard asks…

Best acne product for cystic acne?

I have moderately severe cystic acne.
I’ve tried Neutrogena, Clean and Clear, Biore, and all that other junk. It’s too harsh for my skin, my skin gets irritated easily by benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid doesn’t do much for me either.
My skin gets dry really easily so I tried using Clinique’s moisturizer but it doesn’t help much either.
I have very thin, asian skin.

I want a natural, gentle product like the ones from Laneige that soothe my skin, but also something that is strong enough to GET RID OF this acne, not just PREVENT it. I’d also like to find some nice spot treatments as well.

I’d really prefer asian brands because ordering online is no problem for me and American brands tend to have really harsh chemicals.

Currently, I am using mixtures of home remedies, St. Ive’s green tea cleanser, Clinique’s moisturizer for oily skin, and Alba’s acne toner.

Hi Tammy

This answer is to offer you some tips you may haven’t considered ..though they may sound pretty basic… I hope it helps you. For one not all acne programs like Proactive works for every one.

What agravates acne?

1- Oily hair.. So stay away from oily hair products like pomades, hairsprays and keep your hair off your forehead & face, keepit pulled back or have a short hair style, maybe put it in a hair net at night as it will keep it off of your skin.

2- Skin cosmentics and suntan lotions.. So use types that do not clog pores .. Like noncomedogenic (google it)

3- Skin moisterizers on acne prone skin ..if you do feel you need to .. Make sure it is not acnegenic.

4- Washing your skin with hot water and harsh cleansers that can can further irritate your skin. ..Wash the skin gently with a mild soap or cleanser and warm (not hot) water once or twice daily.

5- Scrubbing your skin to get rid of acne, this can actually make your acne worse and promote scarring by increasing inflammation or rupturing cysts under your skin, making bacteria spread.

6- Picking your pimples or blackheads.. This can leave permanent scars. If you feel you just have to get that head out that is ready to burst.. Go gently & immediately apply a topical antibiotic to help stave off infection.

7-Stressing out. Stress can cause acne break outs, and herpie outbreaks as well. Quit worrying over the outward appearance of acne .. It doesn’t make you a bad person.. Real beauty in a lot deaper than the skin.

8- Not getting enough sleep can cause stress as well so get to bed and those 8 hours in .. An nap when you feel like.

9- Poor nutrition …everyone knows that more fruits and vegetables in your diet is more healthy.. A healthy body will heal itself. Start drinking a lot more water .. And cut out those pops.

10- No exersise.. Exersising everyday can also make you healthier and rejevenate the skin by the increased oxegen from the increased blood flow.. It will make you stronger and healthier when combined with a nutritious diet.

11- Hot humid environments.. Like poorly ventilated gyms and kitchens.. The cooking grease your exposed to can add to pore clogging…

12-Working out bacteria.. From equipment and sweat.. Bring a long some pre-wetted alcohol towlelettes to gently wipe the sweat from your face .. Back .. Hands.. Chest .. A long the work out lines ..to tight fitting work out clothes that trap moisture can cause bumps on your chest or back. .so wear lose fitting cotton attire.. In fact wearing lose fitting breathable attire always is beneficial when combating acne..

13- Dirty make up and make up brushes.. Throw out old contaminated make up and wash your brushes regularly in soapy water ..

Some quick tips.. And I am a believer in the natural approach to healing ones body, ..the url below helped me..I learned about it from an article..maybe it can help you if you want to pursue healing your acne naturally and permanently…I’m not trying to sell you on it ..form your own opinion.. But it might be worth a look for you. I feel it offers a good path to permanent healing of skin problems and acne.

Last tip .. Bacteria is one of the key causes of acne, anything that keeps bacteria from touching your skin will help in acne prevention.

I hope this helps you Tammy

Carol asks…

What is the difference between games we buy original and ones we play with crack?

I’ve played a lot of games, but i wonder what is the difference between games we buy original, with verification code/ security codes, and the ones that have cracks. This brings up the question, if i play games with cracks, does this means i’m pirating the games?

Launch Review answers:

Cracked games are illegal and less featured but cheap
original games are legal and has everything featured in, but they’re expansive

and no, you’re no a pirate for playing cracked games yet it’s still wrong

What age did you start playing video games?

My husband and I have a PS2 since it came out and have some games, like Crash and Ratchet and clank and other challenging games. We now have a son, he is 4 and wants to play too. But we have no little kiddie games like Spyro or the like. Is he too young to learn to play or should we buy more age appropriate games?

We tried Crash but he just likes to crash(lol) into the walls.

So what age did you or your brother or sister start playing video games and could play it?

How much does Gamestop buy used Xbox 360 games for?

My xbox just got the red ring of death and all of my friends have PS3′s. So i am planning to sell all of my games and buy a PS3. I have 34 xbox 360 games and 2 original xbox games. Some are very new games but others are fairly old. I know that how much they buy each for depends on what game it is but i was just wondering what a rough estimate of how much I will get for each game.

Launch Review answers:

I sold some xbox games not to long ago and they gave me 2-5 dollars each. Rip off. Xbox 360 games should be about 10 for the really old ones and about 20 for the new ones. By the way, if you have insurance you can still take it back and they’ll give you a new one

Get a program called ERASER, and use it to completely erase the hard drive, then get a copy of an OS cd, (XP, Vista, Windows7 if you can get hold of it, Linux or whatever) and boot the machine with the cd in to install the new os

If the machine wont boot to the OS, go the the bios (usually by hitting DELETE when the computer first boots – there will be instructions on the screen about how to enter setup) and check the boot order priority. To boot to cd the cd/dvd drive needs to be first in the boot order.

Save changes, reboot with os cd in.

I mean i can control computers and internet from one computer

There’s really no such thing as WiFi internet cafe software. WiFi at public venues work the same way your wireless connection works at home. All you need to do is search for the cafe’s (or other business’) network and connect. Be warned, these connections are unsecure, and can’t fully protect you from intruders the way your home network does.

The Freedom of Choice Act (H.R. 3719/S. 2020) is a bill in the United States Congress which, if enacted, would abolish all restrictions and limitations on the right of women in the United States to have an abortion, whether at the State or Federal level.

YOU MAKE THE CALL

Maria asks…

Obama’s pledge to NOT raise taxes on anyone making under $250K, was that a lie?

Did he intentionally lie about taxes? Or was he just so inexperienced that he had no idea how to figure out how much revenue was going to be needed to compensate for the massive spending he intended to do? Either way, it seems people got snookered into voting for a slogan, instead of a leader, right?

First, here’s Obama saying that exact thing…

Then here’s the truth about what is coming our way starting next year…
excerpt…
The lowest bracket for the personal income tax, for instance, moves up 50% — to 15% from 10%. The next lowest bracket — 25% — will rise to 28%, and the old 28% bracket will be 31%. At the higher end, the 33% bracket is pushed to 36% and the 35% bracket becomes 39.6%.

But the damage doesn’t stop there.

The marriage penalty also makes a comeback, and the capital gains tax will jump 33% — to 20% from 15%. The tax on dividends will go all the way from 15% to 39.6% — a 164% increase.

Other tax hikes include: halving the child tax credit to $500 from $1,000 and fixing the standard deduction for couples at the same level as it is for single filers.

Letting the Bush cuts expire will cost taxpayers $115 billion next year alone, according to the Congressional Budget Office, and $2.6 trillion through 2020.

But even more tax headaches lie ahead. This “second wave” of hikes, as Americans for Tax Reform puts it, are designed to pay for ObamaCare and include:

The Medicine Cabinet Tax. Americans, says ATR, “will no longer be able to use health savings account, flexible spending account, or health reimbursement pretax dollars to purchase nonprescription, over-the-counter medicines (except insulin).”

The HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike. “This provision of ObamaCare,” according to ATR, “increases the additional tax on nonmedical early withdrawals from an HSA from 10% to 20%, disadvantaging them relative to IRAs and other tax-advantaged accounts, which remain at 10%.”

Brand Name Drug Tax. Makers and importers of brand-name drugs will be liable for a tax of $2.5 billion in 2011. The tax goes to $3 billion a year from 2012 to 2016, then $3.5 billion in 2017 and $4.2 billion in 2018. Beginning in 2019 it falls to $2.8 billion and stays there. And who pays the new drug tax? Patients, in the form of higher prices.

Economic Substance Doctrine. ATR reports that “The IRS is now empowered to disallow perfectly legal tax deductions and maneuvers merely because it judges that the deduction or action lacks ‘economic substance.’”

A third and final (for now) wave, says ATR, consists of the alternative minimum tax’s widening net, tax hikes on employers and the loss of deductions for tuition:

• The Tax Policy Center says that the failure to index the AMT will subject 28.5 million families to the tax when they file next year, up from 4 million this year.

• “Small businesses can normally expense (rather than slowly deduct, or ‘depreciate’) equipment purchases up to $250,000,” says ATR. “This will be cut all the way down to $25,000. Larger businesses can expense half of their purchases of equipment. In January of 2011, all of it will have to be ‘depreciated.’”

• According to ATR, there are “literally scores of tax hikes on business that will take place,” plus the loss of some tax credits. The research and experimentation tax credit will be the biggest loss, “but there are many, many others. Combining high marginal tax rates with the loss of this tax relief will cost jobs.”

• The deduction for tuition and fees will no longer be available and there will be limits placed on education tax credits. Teachers won’t be able to deduct their classroom expenses and employer-provided educational aid will be restricted. Thousands of families will no longer be allowed to deduct student loan interest.

Then there’s the tax on Americans who decline to buy health care insurance (the tax the administration initially said wasn’t a tax but now argues in court that it is) plus a 3.8% Medicare tax beginning in 2013 on profits made in real estate transactions by wealthier Americans.

Not all Americans may fully realize what’s in store come Jan. 1. But they should have a pretty good idea by the mid-term elections, and members of Congress might take note of our latest IBD/TIPP Poll (summarized above).

Welcome to ” Change you can believe in”….

Sandra asks…

When will liberals realize that their Messiah Obama is a lot like Bush? Proof inside?

At first glance former President Bush and President Obama seem like opposites when it comes to economic policy making. Talk of Bush as a free-marketeer and deregulator abounds as Obama’s reputation as a big spender and intervener grow stronger by the day. A closer look shows their economic policies have more in common than meets the eye.

5. They love to spend. Bush passed a $3 trillion budget for 2009. Obama posted a $3.5 trillion budget in 2010. Bush doubled the debt to almost $6 trillion and Obama’s plans would leave us with an IOU of an additional $8.5 trillion by 2020.

4. They shop at the same stores. Contrary to popular belief, defense and homeland security spending only made up about 40 percent of Bush’s new spending. He increased spending across most non-defense categories – like education, Medicare, Medicaid, income security and regional development – by four to six times the rate of inflation. In Obama’s first half year in office, as he demanded a departure from the “investment deficit” years under Bush, these budgets rose another 70 percent or 40 times the rate of inflation.

3. They dabble with stimulants. In 2001 and 2008, Bush spent billions on rebates to stimulate consumer spending. In 2009, Obama upped the ante with his $862 billion stimulus package.

2. They give sweetheart deals to failing corporations. Obama carried out Bush’s unpopular $700 billion bailout for failing corporations. Together, the presidents have bailed out over 600 businesses since Spring 2008.

1. They enjoy regulating in their free time. Once again contrary to popular belief, President Bush was the biggest regulator since Richard Nixon. Under his leadership in 2007, the number of pages of regulation added to the Federal Register reached an all-time high of 78,090 – a 21 percent increase from Bush’s first year. And spending on regulatory activities rose to $42 billion in 2009 – a 62 percent increase. Since taking office, Obama has proposed a large and sweeping increase in regulation that many worry could lead to another financial crisis in the future.

Despite rhetoric that suggests the contrary, President Obama’s economic policies are strikingly more of the same failed policies that Bush tried before him. This is unfortunate because, as New York Times columnist Paul Krugman claims, the last decade has seen declining private-sector employment and declining median household income.

William asks…

starting your own business?

I am currently a high school student who will graduate in 5 months after school starts in septmeber. I feel like the life of having your own boss and working a 9-5 job is not for me. I like doing the blue collar job especially since the potential of making income is unlimated, if you are a dedicated person, which my father and i are. I want to start my own cleaning business with my father. He has been a cleaner for almost 25 years and knows everything. He wanted to start his own business but he cant write and has minimum education so he has decided to work for a cleaning company all these years. He has done almost every job you can think of in the cleaning business and he has started to teach me the jobs as well, when I am free on weekends. After I graduate I plan to go to school and get a certification in starting your own business/entrepreneurship. Once I receive my certification i will be working full time for one year so i can save up money to start our business. Within the year my father and i would hopefully have about $25,000 saved up to start our business. We will both be working as much as we can to get clients and demonstrate to people we are the best cleaning people to hire, we plan to do commercial/airport/condo/housing/mall cleaning etc.. What do you think?

Sorry for the grammar i was just trying to write this fast.

Basically

September 2011 = Back to school
Feb 2012 = Graduate high School
Summer 2012 = Enter entrepreneurship/small business course
6 months later = graduate
Jan 2013 = Work one full year
Jan 2014 = Start our business with $25,000 start up in CASH (No bank loans)
Jan 2014-2020 = Hopefully have business alive with atleast 10+ clients.

I am 18 and my father is 47. My father is a hard worker and is very dedcicated. He currently is working 16 hours a day to pay off old debt/child debt.

My recommendation is that you should research your business and write a business plan. This will get you to think through all aspects of the business, including finance. You want to have a plan of what you need to do to make your business successful. The plan will need to change once you get started and learn more but the planning process will have gotten you to think through the possibilities. Starting a business is much harder than it looks. You need to be prepared.
